The main aim of the project was to process city building inspections via mobile application.
The client with branches across multiple states uses Salesforce to track changes for building objects, create and process inspections, manage tasks within departments. In 80% cases, agency employees are working in the area with poor internet connection. In addition, it was complicated to search for a specific building by copying address info from Salesforce record field and paste it to Maps application.
Our specialists implemented Salesforce Partner Community based solution with custom UI. It enables to view and edit building information, create and assign tasks for inspectors, share calendar activities, build various types of forms (with e-signature support) and convert them to PDF.
Our Mobile Development Department built custom iOS application with similar functionality that Salesforce Partner Community solution has. It allows users to process previously cached data in the offline mode and use embedded navigation without leaving the app.
